Dinner

Just want to share my 'some' lovely food photos. I had to take these snap shots from our dinner at 'the observatory' restaurant at Grouse Mountain, Vancouver. Oh! about the food? It was quite an experience. It's not all the time that I get to eat food so fancy and yet delicious. For this photo I had the sea bass on a marinara sauce. The fish was topped with calamares and the food overall was good, soOOo good!

My husband on the other hand, had a 'deer' meat and you can't even tell nor an after taste. I tried it, it taste really good but my mind's telling me to stop trying it, for one, it's not what I ordered and two, it's a meat I don't know. I loved it, we loved it!

Anyway, the place was so intimate. It is overlooking the downtown vancouver and the lights were awesome at night. The staff were warm and accomodating. I suggest a nice reservation before coming in, like days beforehand depending on their peak seasons.

Fruberry yogurt

Like any other person who likes to explore things when there's a chance I will do. Once in while we pass by this store when we are in downtown but always there's no chance. This time we thought, it's a little different from our 'fave' sweet ice cream. This store that I am talking about is called "Fruberry" this is in San Diego. Judging from the outside, including the inside, it's so bright (so white, so squeeky clean), it's chic and it also seems a little pricey. I'm not expert when it comes to the impact on the costumers on how they perceive displays to paints but for me, at that time, my first time, there's no homey, warm feeling and it's really cold in there, literally! However, I like their set up. The white all over is stylish. Well how will I know if I don't try their product, I told myself. So there I go, got few questions and I tried it with cranberries and raspberries on top. You can actually ask for more fruits on top if you want but I chose those two. It wasn't well explained by their sales crew to begin with. It's pricey though but come to think of it, it's a frozen 'yogurt' and it's healthy! Overall, I like it because it's new. I think if they reach the public more, it'll be better. Well then If you don't really care for your extra dollar and spare change less than $5, try it! These days, what I am after is how it does to the body. :)

Mondo Gelato Ice Cream

What comes to your mind when your eating Ice cream? Uhmm... For me, it's simply, a happy day makes worries go away. Most people love Ice Cream for anything. Well, I do. I grew up eating, breathing Ice cream and not to mention those strawberries, chocolate, rocky road, caramel and a lot more. Oh my golly! Yummy!

There is this Ice Cream Place I like. It's called, "Mondo Gelato". The first time I had this was when we we're in Vancouver, specifically along Robson Street. The company I was with told me to try their green tea, biscotti, pistachio, peanut butter, persimmon, milo (familiar) and so much more. I loved it! They have lots of exotic flavors as well. The second time is in San Diego where I had my third time, fourth, fifth and so on. I liked their afogatto style where they put ice cream scoop in a brewed coffee in a cup. They have almost anything you can imagine out of the ordinary. You can only find them to selected areas in parts of the world. They have in San Diego, Ca. - British Columbia, Canada - Rome, Beijing and Waikiki, Hawaii. But wait, there's criteria when eating it though, there should be passion and appreciation. What an experience!
